The Hemingway House is open 365 days a year from 9AM to 5PM, and a tour is included in the price of admission. Adult admission is $6.50, child tickets are $6.00 and children 5 and under are free. Discounted group rates of $10.50 per person are available for groups of 12 or more with a reservation.
A small home, the Hemingway House doesn’t take all that long to explore, but is still one of the most popular attractions on the island. Tours last about half and hour, but can be crowded when the cruise ships are in town. You can explore the house, garden, grounds and pool at your leisure, but don’t expect it to take more than a couple of hours. Top tip: go early in the morning, as Hemingway House was built in the 1800s, long before the advent of air conditioning.
