Featuring 50 to 60 butterfly species from around the world as well as 20 exotic bird species, the Butterfly Conservatory is a glimpse into realm of wonderment and beauty, filled with flapping wings and pure delight. Stroll through the tropical paradise and feel your cares slip away in the lush environment of flowering plants, colorful birds and cascading waterfalls.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and loose, lightweight clothing when you visit the Key West Butterfly Exhibit. The conservatory is climate-controlled to be hot and humid for the butterflies, and stays a constant 85 degrees with 80% humidity - so dress for the heat!
You’ll want to bring a bottle of water to beat the heat and humidity at the Butterfly Conservatory, and don’t forget your camera to capture photos of the colorful “flowers of the sky.”
